Did You Know?

The eye is the only place in the body through which blood vessels can be directly visualized without cutting into the body. This means that your eye doctor has a window into your eye health, but also your overall systemic health.

Comprehensive Eye Care Q&A

A comprehensive eye exam is the equivalent to an annual physical, but for your eyes. At First Class Eye Care we focus on preventative care and helping you see your very best.

While some eye diseases present with symptoms such as red eyes, light sensitivity, or flashing lights – most serious, chronic, vision-threatening problems have no warning signs at all. Unless you have your eyes evaluated yearly, you may not know you are at risk for certain eye diseases. Routine and consistent eye care is the only way to ensure your eyes are truly healthy.

Your eyes should be examined once a year.

During your eye exam we check your eye health and your vision. This includes receiving an eyeglass prescription.

If interested in contact lenses, our doctors will discuss if you are a good candidate. If so, we will then discuss your options based on your prescription, lifestyle, and visual demands. Our doctors will then proceed with a Contact Lens Evaluation to ensure you have great comfort and vision with your contact lenses.

At First Class Eye Care we utilize modern technology to evaluate vision and assess ocular health. After a review of your medical and vision history, our doctors perform a number of specialized eye tests:

✔ Visual Acuity
✔ Visual Field Test
✔ Eye Pressure (No Worries – No Air Puff Here!)
✔ Pupil Test
✔ Eye Muscle Test
✔ Eyeglass Prescription Assessment
✔ Slit-Lamp Examination
✔ Retinal Evaluation

During your exam, our doctors evaluate for many eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration, as well as systemic conditions that may affect your eye health such as diabetes, hypertension, and cholesterol.
